Story behind the artwork:
A tobacco pipe, often called simply a pipe, is a device specifically made to smoke tobacco. It comprises a chamber (the bowl) for the tobacco from which a thin hollow stem (shank) emerges, ending in a mouthpiece. Pipes can range from very simple machine-made briar models to highly prized hand-made artisanal implements made by renowned pipemakers, which are often very expensive collector’s item. Pipe smoking is the oldest known traditional form of tobacco smoking.

LIANA MARIZ MESINA
Liana Mariz graduated in course Bachelor of Fine Arts Major in Advertising in University of Rizal System Angono Campus. And now she is working as a Creative Assistant in the company of Razorfish Marketing Service Corporation. Liana attended a lot of art workshops between 2004 and 2011 on her childhood. She has been recognized as a Most Outstanding Student in Easy Art Lesson of Fernando Sena in 2011. Liana participated 5 group Art Exhibit since she was 5 years old, namely Exhibit at the Social Security System, twice in Chef Jessie’s in Rockwell Club, and also twice in Haplos Foundation in 2015 at Robinson’s Antipolo and Glorietta Center in Makati. Her subject is all about pets, because she is a pet lover that’s why she used it as an inspiration through her piece. The style she been using is contemporary, in the medium of Acrylic on Canvas.
