Describing my favorite part of market day, it is always a refreshing and delightful sight to find the fruits I favor most: mangoes, oranges, star apples, red and green apples, dragonfruits, pomelos, watermelons and more.

About the Artist

DYNA QUIZON ONDOY

Dyna’s starting point as an artist was in 2000.  She joined many group exhibitions as a member of SIKAT (Sining Kulay at Tinta) and now an active member of ARTipolo.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, graduated Magna Cum Laude and worked at Philippine Overseas Employment Administration for 10 years.

She launched her first solo exhibit early 2005, “Growing Season” at the Raintree Cafe Gallery in Makati, followed by her 2nd solo exhibit  “ Grace Period” in 2017 at the Crucible Gallery in SM Megamall.  Her 3rd solo exhibit was held last Feb 2020,  “Grace Period” Part 11 at Casa Nieves, Robinsons Place Antipolo.  Her favorite media are acrylic and oil pastel.

Mostly impressionistic/realistic, her favorite subjects are nature, landscapes and still-life. Lately, her favorite subject has turned to vintage filipino houses of spanish and post spanish eras.

Her series, “Where is Heaven?”  (her interpretation of old houses of prominent and affluent families in the country) now     numbering 28 pieces in the series are getting favorable attention.
