Ang painting na ito ay nag papaalala at nagkwekwento ng ating kamusmusan, umiiyak pa nga tayu pag hindi tayu napagbigyan ng ating mga magulang, dahil sa masarap at matamis nitong lasa na sanhi ng pagkasira ng ating munting mga ngipin. Madalas natin sila makita sa lugar na maraming mga bata sa eskwelahan, simbahan, plaza, palengke, bangketa at saan-saang lugar. Mga pagkain na simple lamang hatid naman nito ay tuwa at saya. Sana sa pag lipas ng panahon o susunod pang henerasyon ay maranasan din nila ang ating nakawilihang kainin, ang matamis at masarap na bulak, ang algodon de azucar o koton kendi.

ALFREDO S. MORALES

Alfred Morales wealth of experiences never quenched the insatiable appetite for art in his bones from shining through. Living a very eventful and colorful life, the passion and talent that would sometimes lay dormant in his  soul came alive with every opportunity it is given.

As young boy his resolve for the arts was sure , he wanted to study visual arts. However certain Situations placed him in circumstances that were not always so easy. After graduating from Rizal high school, his college days were unpredictable with life always getting in the way. First studying Dental Technologies in Centro Escolar University, then transferred soon to Slim Fashion Art School taking up Special Fine Arts then he enrolled again in De Ocampo Memorial

College to finish his course, Dental Technologies. Always inclined to the arts, his pursuit was Never ending, and it never stopped him from learning on his own and forging his own artistic Identity.

Throughout his life, its different chapters, and high and lows, his craft was the only thing that remained constant. His passion and commitment for the arts continued to grow as we was given opportunities to participate in several prestigious contest. One of his achievements that he takes pride on being a two time Grand winner in the 2014 and 2019 Kulay sa Tubig Invitational Water Color Competition exhibition. In  2006, he won the Juror’s Choice Award in the Mural painting competition in the celebration of the 100 years of Filipino migration to Hawaii. His work was even exhibited at the Philippines Embassy in the United States and 3rd place in 2011  Amorsolo National Competition in the mentor category, NCR phase of Fernando Amorsolo Mentor and Apprentice National Art Competition.  This proves that with his continued dedication and passion for the arts, his talent even have the opportunity to be recognized internationally.

Accompanying his infectious energy is the desire to be actively pursuing different things, never Being to choosy his adventurous spirit leads him to many mediums. First starting with oil and Moving on to watercolor, he also experimented with sculptures,The subjects for his painting vary, from Landscape and human figures. He manages to make something beautiful out of whatever that is available.

This integration of his sorroundings into his work is what makes him the artist that he is now one who doesn’t make arts from the world that is around him.
